Microsoft Excel contains many keyboard shortcuts to enhance and simplify your spreadsheet creation experience. Although most keyboard shortcuts begin with the “Ctrl” key, some shortcuts include the function keys. One shortcut, known as the “Go To” shortcut, allows you to jump from one cell to another in an Excel spreadsheet. By using the “Go To” shortcut, you can quickly jump to the desired cell by entering the cell’s reference in the dialog box.
Step 1
Press the “F5” key on your keyboard. The “Go To” dialog box appears on your screen. Alternatively, press the “Ctrl” and “G” keys simultaneously to open the “Go To” dialog box.
Step 2
Enter the row of the cell you want to jump to in the “Reference” box. If you want to jump to cell C15, for example, enter “C.”
Step 3
Enter the column of the cell you want to jump to in the “Reference” box. If you want to jump to cell C15, you would enter “15.” Your reference should look something like “C15.” Press the “Enter” key on your keyboard to jump to the cell.
